Adesanya Promises to Knock Out Strickland

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is not one to back down from a challenge, and he’s fired back at his upcoming opponent, Sean Strickland, who taunted him for wearing nail polish. Adesanya, known for his colorful and flamboyant style, has vowed to “knock Strickland out with painted nails.”

Strickland has been engaging in verbal jabs at Adesanya in the lead-up to their championship bout scheduled for UFC 293 in Sydney on September 10. He took a dig at Adesanya, referring to him as a guy who “f***ing paints his nails.”

In response, Adesanya didn’t mince words. “He’s an idiot,” Adesanya stated in an interview with MMA Fighting during an appearance for Stake.com. “I’m not going to lose to an idiot. He says he’s not going to lose to a guy that jerks off to cartoons or paints his nails. Well, I’m going to paint my nails for that fight, and I’m going to knock him out with my painted nails.”

Adesanya expressed his displeasure with Strickland’s behavior and attitude in the lead-up to the fight. He emphasized that he doesn’t pay heed to outsiders’ opinions and only focuses on himself and his team. Strickland’s antagonistic approach and the way he conducts himself have evidently rubbed Adesanya the wrong way.

With colorful characters like Adesanya in the UFC, the pre-fight banter and drama often add excitement to the matchups. Fans can look forward to a high-stakes battle between these two fighters in September, where Adesanya plans to let his fighting skills do the talking.
