Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has announced the appointment of Olayide Owolabi Adelami as Deputy Governor.
Adelami, who comes from Owo, the hometown of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, is a former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly.
The nominee for deputy governor will be reviewed by the Ondo State House of Assembly and, if confirmed, will be sworn in as substantive deputy governor.
Earlier on Wednesday, the governor fired all commissioners, senior special assistants (SSAs), and special assistants (SAs) appointed by Akeredolu and ordered them to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective departments.
