Akwa Ibom First Lady Inspires Women with Biblical Virtues

Akwa Ibom State’s First Lady, Patience Éno, has urged women in the state to draw inspiration from the virtues of women in the Bible who were known for their devotion to God and exemplary character. She emphasized the importance of studying and emulating the faith of these women to deepen their sense of devotion to God and those around them.

Speaking at the Women Rally 2023 organized by the Women Fellowship of Qua Iboe Church, Eket Township Superintendency, with the theme “A Devoted Woman,” Éno highlighted the devotion of various women in the Bible, including those who were actively engaged in God’s work and ministry. She underlined that these women’s stories are testimonies of unwavering faith and dedication, which can serve as a source of inspiration in one’s spiritual journey.

Éno pointed out that throughout the Bible, there are examples of devoted individuals, and the stories of women like Ruth, Mary, Esther, and Priscilla showcase the power of unwavering devotion to God and others. She encouraged women to study and emulate the faith of these women to develop a deeper sense of devotion in their own lives.

She also emphasized that, according to the Bible, miracles were witnessed whenever women gathered, and she expressed optimism that the Women’s Rally would not be an exception, as Jesus Christ is unchanging.

The event, organized by the Qua Iboe Church, aimed to inspire and strengthen the faith of women by sharing the stories of devoted women in the Bible. The First Lady was the keynote speaker at the event, which was attended by members of the Women Fellowship of Qua Iboe Church in Eket Township Superintendency.
