Alexandra Asogwa, widely known as “Alex Unusual,” recently spoke about her strategy during her time on the Big Brother Naija “All Stars” Reality Show. In a Zoom interview in Lagos, the 27-year-old Content Creator revealed that her sole strategy for winning the show was to remain true to herself and be original.
She explained that even before entering the show, she had made a conscious decision to be genuine, unique, positive, and peaceful. Alex mentioned that she had a feeling she might be evicted at some point during her journey in the house.
Her approach in the Big Brother house was to authentically be herself and protect her inner peace. She emphasized that she knew her worth and wouldn’t allow anyone to disrespect her. Alex highlighted that she had upheld this attitude both inside the house and in her interactions with young people she meets during school visits.
Alex expressed her belief in standing up for oneself when necessary and not allowing others to mistake silence, peace, and positivity for weakness. She also acknowledged that the experience in the Big Brother house had made her realize the power her personality carries.
She said, “My strategy in the Big Brother house was just being myself. I said I was going to be myself and protect my peace. This is because I know that Alex is not somebody that people can walk over. So, I was sure that if anybody ever got to a point where they constantly poked me and I have to react, of course, I will.
“I will definitely stand up for myself, this was what I did in the house and that is what I also teach all the young boys and girls that are looking up to me in any school I go to. I am like do not let anybody take your silence, peace and positivity for weakness. I am always peaceful and positive.”
She proudly acknowledged the impact she has on people and how her presence often draws attention. Alex stated that she understands the influence she holds and is proud of it.
Regarding her choice for the winner of the show, Alex mentioned that she is rooting for either the contestant with God’s grace, the best game player, the person chosen by the viewers, or the one whom the majority votes for.
Alex, a former housemate from BBNaija Season 3, was one of the five finalists in the “All Stars” edition.
