Ruben Amorim has highlighted an area for improvement in Bruno Fernandes’ game.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has praised Bruno Fernandes for consistently stepping up in crucial moments. However, he also noted that the captain could enhance his game by placing greater trust in his teammates.

Amorim’s remarks came after Fernandes delivered a stunning hat-trick in United’s 4-1 triumph over Real Sociedad in the Europa League at Old Trafford. His performance further reinforced his significance within the squad.
As a player who often divides opinion, Fernandes continues to showcase his worth, particularly during a season where Manchester United have struggled for consistency. While his leadership and overall displays have drawn criticism, he remains the team’s leading scorer with 15 goals. His impact has frequently been instrumental in securing positive results.

Amorim pointed out that Fernandes sometimes disrupts the team’s structure by frequently drifting out of position to seek possession.
“When we need it, he is always there. He can bring the ball forward. He can score goals. He is a perfect captain for our team and we need to help him win titles,” Amorim stated.

He continued, “We know that sometimes he is frustrated. We know he wants to win so badly and when things are not going well, he is changing position and going after the ball. Sometimes he needs to trust his teammates.”
Manchester United’s commanding 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad at Old Trafford secured a 5-2 aggregate win, propelling them into the Europa League quarter-finals.
