Kano State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, has criticized NNPP Chairman Hashimu Dungurawa’s remarks about President Bola Tinubu’s silence on the Kano Emirate crisis. Dungurawa warned that Tinubu’s inaction could jeopardize his 2027 presidential bid, urging the president to banish the deposed Emir, Ado Bayero.
In a Monday statement from Abuja, Abbas countered that the APC is now more united and popular, promising to secure triple the votes in the next election. He accused Governor Abba Yusuf and NNPP leader Rabiu Kwankwaso of distracting the public with the emirate dispute to cover up their governance failures.
Abbas emphasized that while other governors mark their first year with projects, Yusuf’s administration is embroiled in controversy, highlighting the NNPP’s poor performance and crisis-driven approach as key voter considerations for the 2027 election.
