The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the Edo State Government’s decision to indefinitely postpone the resumption of schools due to the recent fuel price hike. The suspension was announced by the state’s Ministry of Education, which postponed the September 9 reopening until further notice.
APC’s Publicity Secretary, Peter Uwadiae-Enosorogbe, labeled the decision as “expensive political gimmickry,” arguing that fuel price hikes shouldn’t derail the educational system. He urged the state government to reverse the decision, noting that the delay will only harm students’ education.
