APC Wins All Seats in Ogun Local Government Elections Amidst Controversy

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all 20 chairmanship seats in Ogun State’s local government election, along with all 236 councillorship positions. The election results were announced by Babatunde Osibodu, chairman of the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC).

However, Biodun Jagun, chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in Ogun State, has challenged the results, claiming widespread issues. Jagun alleged that polling units lacked officials and materials, calling the process a “sham.” He has urged OGSIEC to cancel the election or face legal action to contest the outcome.
