“APGA Presidential Candidate and Others Seek Tinubu’s Appointments”

Several opposition presidential candidates from the 2023 election have come together under the banner of the “Forum of Concerned Presidential Candidates” to make an appeal to President Bola Tinubu. They are requesting consideration for appointments in his proposed government of unity.

The plea was made during a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

The delegation included Charles Nnadi, the presidential candidate of the Action Peoples Party; Felix Osakwe, presidential candidate of the National Rescue Movement; Prof. Peter Umeadi, the flag bearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance; Dr. Odey Udo, the vice-presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party; and Adewale Adeogun, the leader of the group.

During the visit, Osakwe emphasized their commitment to politics without bitterness, highlighting that they chose not to challenge the election results in court, demonstrating their willingness to work together with the president in the spirit of inclusive politics.

Osakwe further requested that they be included in campaign councils for the upcoming elections in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi States, offering their services to the president.

Ganduje praised the group for supporting the president’s vision of inclusive politics and a government of national unity. He assured them that he would convey their request to President Tinubu.

This appeal reflects a call for political inclusivity and unity, with opposition candidates expressing their willingness to contribute to the governance process under President Tinubu’s leadership.
