Arsenal has begun discussions with Nico Williams’ representatives regarding a possible transfer during the summer window.
The Spanish winger has attracted interest from several elite European clubs due to his impressive performances in both the Euros and for Athletic Bilbao.

Initially, Arsenal had shown strong interest in signing Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman, who has been in outstanding form for Atalanta this season.
However, with the recent appointment of Andrea Berta as the club’s new sporting director, the Gunners have now shifted their focus to securing Nico Williams instead.

As a result, Arsenal’s pursuit of Williams could put a potential move for Lookman on hold.
According to GFFN on X, “Arsenal’s new sporting director has conducted a key meeting to establish the groundwork for a transfer involving Atletico Bilbao’s Nico Williams (22)—the details.”
Meanwhile, Atalanta had already announced earlier this season that the 27-year-old Lookman would be leaving the club at the end of the campaign, fueling speculation about his next destination.

Despite Arsenal’s shift in priorities, the Nigerian forward continues to be highly sought after by several other clubs.
Since joining Atalanta three seasons ago, Lookman has delivered outstanding performances, scoring 50 goals and providing 22 assists in 111 appearances for La Dea.
