Arteta Challenges Bukayo Saka to Match Kane and Vinicius Jr. Status

Mikel Arteta has hailed Bukayo Saka for his outstanding performances this season, challenging the young star to reach the heights of player like Harry Kane and Vinicius Junior while highlighting the key qualities required to join their ranks.

Arsenal, who have narrowly missed out of the Premier League title in the past two seasons, entered this campaign as strong contenders alongside Manchester City.

A significant part of their success has been driven by Saka’s remarkable rise, with the Hale End academy graduate solidifying his role as the team’s most influential attacker.

Saka’s consistency has been exceptional, delivering a goal contribution for every game player this season (21). Most recently, he played a pivotal role in Arsenal‘s 3-0 Champions League victory over Monaco, scoring twice and providing an assist.

Following the empathic run, Arteta was asked to weigh in on comparison between Saka and elite players like Harry Kane and Vinicius Jr. the Arsenal manager responded with praise for Saka while outlining the areas he believes will elevate the young forward to that elite level.

“You have to be able to do that consistently for many years to be in that position. What he’s done at his age, you can put in brackets because you can compare what he’s done in his first six years of professional football, which is exceptional.

“That’s it. His aim is to improve. He has the players and the environment around him to continue to do and I’m sure that he will.”
