Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed his condolences to victims of recent fire incidents in Oyo, Lagos, and Niger States. According to Naija News, a tragic accident involving a fuel tanker and a trailer in Niger State on Sunday claimed over 40 lives.
In a message shared on his X handle, Atiku, the 2023 PDP presidential candidate, extended his sympathy to those affected. He noted that the incidents, caused by articulated vehicles carrying petrol, resulted in 48 deaths in Niger, 3 in Lagos, and significant destruction in Ibadan.
Atiku praised the Fire Service officers for their courageous efforts and offered his heartfelt condolences to the families and communities impacted by these tragedies.
