Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on President Bola Tinubu to return to Nigeria immediately, saying his trip to France is unfair and disrespectful to Nigerians. Atiku said it’s wrong for the president to leave the country while many people are suffering from hunger, killings, and insecurity.

Atiku, who ran for president under the PDP, said Tinubu has been out of the country for too long and questioned why the president would travel abroad for a “working visit” when there are serious problems at home. He pointed out that over 100 people have been killed recently in Plateau, Benue is facing attacks, and Boko Haram is getting stronger — yet the president is far away.

He added that Tinubu has spent about 59 days in France since he became president, which he said is a sign of bad leadership. Atiku insisted that there is nothing Tinubu is doing in France that he couldn’t do in Nigeria. He urged the president to come back home and take charge before the country completely breaks down.
