A group supporting former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has slammed PDP governors for opposing a planned merger meant to remove President Tinubu in 2027. The group’s spokesman, Salihu Lukman, said only a strong coalition can defeat the ruling APC. He accused the governors of working against the idea and even helping Tinubu stay in power.
Lukman claimed that the PDP is too weak and divided to challenge APC. He pointed fingers at Minister Nyesom Wike, saying he is part of Tinubu’s team and has helped weaken PDP from the inside. According to him, the party has not held important meetings in two years and no one knows who is really in charge anymore.
The group said their goal is to rebuild Nigeria’s democracy and bring change. They called on all political leaders, including PDP governors, to stop playing selfish games and join the coalition to save the country. Lukman warned that if nothing is done, Nigeria’s democracy will continue to suffer.
