AY Acknowledges Room for Improvement in Comedy Skills

Popular Nigerian comedian and filmmaker, Ayodeji Makun, known as AY, has revealed that he does not consider himself among the top 20 funniest comedians in Nigeria. Speaking in a recent interview with Teju Babyface, AY discussed how criticisms from critics have helped him grow and improve in his craft.

AY shared his experience of reading negative comments on blogs and social media, acknowledging that while they can be hurtful, they serve as motivation for him to work harder and enhance his skills. He emphasized that these comments act as a propelling factor for self-improvement.

In a humble admission, AY expressed that if he were to compile a list of the funniest comedians in the industry, he wouldn’t include himself. He explained that this doesn’t mean others wouldn’t consider him funny, but he prefers to leave that judgment to others.
