Ay’s Wife Mabel Claims Life Threat

Interior Designer Takes to Instagram, Vows to Report the Alleged Threats to Police

Mabel Makun, the wife of renowned comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has ignited concern on social media after revealing alleged threats to her life. In a post on her Instagram page, the interior designer expressed her distress over the escalating threats, declaring her intention to report the issue to the police.

In the Instagram post, Mabel disclosed that the threats had reached a critical point, prompting her to take action to safeguard herself. Although she did not reveal the identity of the person behind the threats, she made it clear that there would be someone held accountable if anything were to happen to her.

“The threat to my life is actually getting out of hand, and if anything happens to me, there is just one person to be held responsible. Headed to the police station,” she wrote.

Expressing her frustration, Mabel stated, “I think I have had enough. Been abused mentally and for way too long, and I have had enough.”

This alarming revelation follows a trend of public figures facing threats to their lives. Recently, Yoruba actress Mariam Akande Muftaudeen also sought help over a similar threat, recounting a narrow escape from death with her daughter the previous year.

In a message to Nigerians, Mabel Makun declared her readiness to speak up, offering evidence in the form of videos and voice notes. While not providing further details, she mentioned that her car and phones were vandalized by unknown individuals actively pursuing her and her daughter’s safety.

As concerns grow over the safety of public figures, Mabel’s decision to come forward sheds light on the increasing challenges they face, emphasizing the need for heightened security and public awareness
