Residents of Kidandan village, which is found in the Giwa Local Government Area of the state, are in shock after learning that bandits murdered a villager who delivered a ransom in Kaduna.
Abdullahi Haruna, the victim, belonged to Fitiyanul Islam’s First Aid. He offered to deliver the ransom in exchange for the bandits releasing a villager they were holding captive.
The event happened in a place called Sabo Layi Kidandan on Wednesday at about 2:00 p.m.
On Thursday, a vigilante member who wished to remain anonymous verified the incident to reporters.
Similarly, Abdullahi Haruna offered to provide the ransom money to the bandits when they requested it for one of their prisoners, according to a youth leader in the neighborhood who only went by the name Jamil.
The report claimed that after receiving the cash, the robbers attempted to pull the dead off his motorcycle, but he refused, insisting that he was only there to deliver the ransom.
He was shot because he refused to follow them into the bush. People were present when this occurred during the day in Sabon Layi, according to the source.
Additionally, according to information obtained by reporters, Sabon Layi Hamlet serves as the focal point for obtaining ransom for the majority of kidnappings that occur around the axis.
The State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, could not be reached on his phone number, making contact with him impossible.
