Former Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has called on Nigerians, especially social media users, to ease up on criticizing government officials. His appeal follows the controversy surrounding a corps member, Ushie Uguamaye, who was summoned by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) after calling President Bola Tinubu “terrible.”
Speaking at the Silverbird ‘Man of the Year 2024’ award, Bruce urged Nigerians to give leaders a break, acknowledging that they are human and can make mistakes. He emphasized that constant criticism only adds pressure and does not help the country move forward.
The event was attended by top politicians, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, and Minister of Works Dave Umahi, among others.
