Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Bode George has criticized President Bola Tinubu, stating he no longer has excuses for Nigeria’s economic difficulties. In an interview with Punch during the country’s 25th Democracy Day celebration, George said the time for tolerance has ended after Tinubu’s first year in office.
George noted that he previously urged Nigerians to give Tinubu a year before criticizing him, as he was new to the presidency. However, he now believes Tinubu cannot ignore the worsening conditions, highlighting the widespread hunger and anger among Nigerians.
He called for Tinubu to clearly explain his government’s policies and make tangible improvements to the country. George emphasized that Nigerians should begin to feel the positive impact of democracy and that Tinubu must now provide concrete solutions to the nation’s problems.
