Bolaji Agbede, the most senior founding Executive Director responsible for Business Support within the company, is poised to take on the crucial role of leading Access Holdings Plc, subject to approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria. This transition marks a pivotal moment in the company’s history as it navigates the challenges associated with an unforeseen change in leadership.

Agbede brings to the position nearly three decades of professional experience in banking and business consultancy services, making her a formidable choice for the role. Her career commenced in 1992 at Guaranty Trust Bank, where she steadily rose through the ranks, reaching managerial positions by 2001. In 2003, she assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at JKG Limited, a business consulting firm.
Her association with Access Bank Plc began in 2003, where she served as an Assistant General Manager responsible for managing the bank’s portfolio of chemical trading companies. Recognized for her leadership qualities and strategic insight, Agbede took on the role of Head, Group Human Resources between 2010 and 2022.

Agbede’s journey within Access Holdings Plc continued as she ascended to the position of founding Executive Director, Business Support, where she played a pivotal role in integrating business units and transforming the company’s culture.
Educationally, Agbede holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Lagos (1990) and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Cranfield University, UK, in 2002. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management UK and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.
Agbede’s commitment to professional development is evident in her attendance at renowned leadership programs, including the High-Performance Leadership Programme organized by IMD and the Strategic Talent Management Programme organized by the London Business School.
