Prince Afolabi Ghandi Laoye, a former pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, arrived in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Friday for a ritual rite and installation as the new Soun of Ogbomosoland.

The Soun of Ogbomoso throne became vacant following the passing of Oba Jimoh Oyewumi on December 12, 2021.
Prince Afolabi Ghandi Laoye, who had been based in the United States of America, arrived in Ogbomoso early in the morning via a private chopper, which landed at Ogbomoso Grammar School, before proceeding to the palace.
