A Nigerian business owner has raised alarm after a newly hired accountant disappeared with the company’s laptop, cash, and borrowed funds from colleagues. The businessman, identified as @0xYinka on X, expressed frustration over the incident, revealing that the staff member, Aderibigbe Eniola Samson, had only worked for a month before blocking everyone and vanishing.
According to @0xYinka, the suspect stole ₦150,000 from the company’s drawer, borrowed ₦50,000 from staff, and even retrieved his guarantor’s form before escaping. To cover his tracks, he reportedly unplugged the store’s CCTV before making his move. However, after being called out online, the runaway staff responded via email, admitting to taking cash but claiming the laptop was taken “by mistake.” He pleaded for time to return the items, citing personal struggles.
Despite the apology, the businessman remains determined to hold him accountable, vowing to expose him publicly. “Since he wants to be popular, I will give him fame,” he stated, signaling his intent to take legal action.
