Veteran Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has shared that the late actress Ada Ameh held a maternal role in his life.
Aki opened up about his bond with the late thespian, emphasizing how he saw her as a non-biological mother both within and outside the realm of acting. Their on-screen relationship in the famous Nigerian comedy series, “The Johnsons,” mirrored their off-screen rapport.
The passing of Ada Ameh deeply affected him, leaving him profoundly saddened. Chinedu Ikedieze expressed:
“Ada was like a mother to me, you know!
“She took that character off the screen. As in, even outside production. I have met her severally outside, you know, that people will say ‘see your Pikin’. You know that kind of a thing. So it was like losing a part of me. It was really. In fact, that was the least story or information or news I opted to hear.
“That’s the biggest shock of our lives. That’s all of us. The Johnsons. It broke us… Forever.”
