Former APC Chairman in Enugu State, Barrister Ben Nwoye, has officially left the party. He said the party is full of fights, confusion, and broken leadership, which is why he can no longer stay. Nwoye made this announcement during a press meeting at De Sheriff Hotel in Enugu, saying he can’t continue being part of what he called “political war.”
Nwoye helped build the APC from the start, but now says the party is no longer united. He described the party’s symbol—the broom—as “loosened and permanently scattered.” He blamed APC leaders in the South East for playing politics of revenge instead of working together. He also said there are now two fighting groups in Enugu APC, with one group backed by the court and the other doing as they please.
He didn’t stop there—he also pointed fingers at the national APC leaders, saying they’ve ignored all efforts to fix the problems. He said big names like Senator Chris Ngige and Dr. Ikechi Emenike are also being pushed aside, even after working hard for the party. With Nwoye gone, many now worry more about the future of APC in Enugu and the whole South East.
