Dangote Refinery is set to stop supplying petroleum products to the Nigerian market due to stalled negotiations on a naira-for-crude deal. However, the refinery will continue exporting fuel, as it currently buys crude oil in dollars from the international market.
Previously, the refinery supplied fuel to Nigerian marketers in naira under a crude supply agreement with the NNPC. But with the deal now concluded and no new terms agreed upon, domestic supply will be suspended.
This development raises concerns over fuel availability in Nigeria, as stakeholders await further updates on a possible resolution.
