Controversial influencer Daniel Regha receives backlash from Toyin Abraham after refusing to meet her at an event, following his criticism of her movie.
Toyin Abraham took to her Twitter page to express her desire to meet Daniel Regha face to face at the Trendd Up Awards, as she wanted to discuss his negative review of her movie “Ijakumo” and get feedback on areas of improvement in her filmmaking. She also expressed her excitement to meet other influencers at the event.
However, Daniel Regha responded by stating that he had heard about her request but had chosen not to meet her out of respect for her status as a movie star. He criticized Toyin Abraham for showing support for the APC-led government despite the events of the ENDSARS protest at the tollgate in 2020. He further stated that meeting her would go against his principles and values.
In his response, Daniel Regha also criticized the writing and directing of the movie “Ijakumo,” emphasizing that it was poorly executed, while making it clear that his comments were not intended to offend.
