Davido Slams Pinnick, Accuses Him of Destroying Aspirations of Nigerian Footballers

Nigerian artist Davido continues to criticize the former Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick, for the claim that he didn’t show up for a performance in Warri despite receiving a payment of $94,600.

In a video circulating on social media, Pinnick stated that Davido did not fulfill his commitment to perform at a show scheduled for October 6, 2023, despite receiving payment and having his flight arranged.

“We paid Davido $94,600 on the 6th of April. We paid $18,000 for his plane,” he mentioned.

The 30-year-old artist responded earlier on Saturday through a series of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter), referring to Pinnick as someone who throws stones while living in a glass house.

In a recent Instagram story post on Saturday night, the singer pledged to give back and even double the amount to any football charity organization in Nigeria.

He further accused the former football chairman of using funds meant for the organization to reside in a high-end area in Lagos.

He wrote: “If I’m returning any money. I’ll return it to any football charity organization. In fact, I will double it. Mr Dreams Crusher.. imagine how many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because person one lives for Ikoyi by force.

“Warri people hate you! And you know! Amaju, come outside let’s talk! I will be performing in Warri in December! I want to see who get mind stop me.. body go tell you.

“I wanna donate money to @thenofficial been suffering for too long it’s not fair.. let’s do something, @puma.”
