Renowned Afrobeat artist, Davido Adeleke, has expressed his admiration for the incredible journey of BBNaija All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, from rags to riches.
Ilebaye, a 22-year-old model hailing from Kogi, emerged as the victor, claiming the N120 million grand prize in the Big Brother Naija All-Stars edition on Sunday night, surpassing five other finalists.
She secured a substantial 30.8% of the total votes, outperforming her closest rival, Mercy Eke, who received 23.48% of the votes.
Baye’s victory came as a surprise to many, especially since she had been evicted after just three weeks during her initial season, “Level Up,” in 2022. In the All-Stars season, she was often considered an underdog.
To celebrate the self-proclaimed “Gen Z Baddie,” Davido took to his social media platform and wrote, “Ilebaye… I love a success story!”
Ilebaye promptly responded in the comments section, saying, “Thank you OBO.”
It’s worth noting that Davido initially threw his support behind Kiddwaya and Neo Energy as potential winners of the grand prize at the beginning of the season, although neither of them made it to the finals.
