Dele Momodu, the Director of Strategic Communications for the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, has expressed dismay at the verdict of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election. Momodu shared his disappointment on social media, specifically on X (formerly Twitter).
In his post, Momodu expressed amazement and wonder at what he perceived as the deliberate twisting of the constitution. He lamented the disregard for the constitution and expressed concern about the verdict’s implications for the country’s history.
Momodu’s message conveyed his frustration with the tribunal’s decision but also suggested that those responsible for the outcome would eventually face judgment in the court of history. He concluded by expressing hope that Nigeria would eventually experience freedom.
The tribunal, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, ruled that the petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, challenging the election results and victory of President Tinubu, had no merit.
