Delta Governor Endorses Second Term for Bayelsa’s Duoye Diri.

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has thrown his weight behind Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri, endorsing him for a second term in office. Governor Oborevwori expressed his support for Governor Diri during a commissioning ceremony for the Etegwe roundabout and Agilobi road in Agudama Epie, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Oborevwori commended Governor Diri for his achievements in his first four years in office and stated that these accomplishments make him deserving of a second term. He particularly praised Governor Diri for prioritizing security, which has laid a solid foundation for development in various sectors of the state’s economy.

In his words, Oborevwori stated, “Diri represents a perfect picture of a loyal servant, his care for the people has made him very dependable. You assumed office and prioritized security of the state, so that infrastructure development and others can run fast. You ensured an enabling environment for business to thrive. Every sector of the state’s economy has felt the positive impact of your administration.”

The Delta State Governor also commended Governor Diri for his commitment to connecting the three senatorial districts of Bayelsa State and for delivering on various projects across the state. He emphasized that Governor Diri’s proven track record of performance is a testament to his deserving another term.

In response, Governor Diri expressed his administration’s commitment to transforming Yenagoa, the state capital, into a modern city on par with or even better than other capital cities in Nigeria. He highlighted the positive impact of his administration in enhancing security and development in the state, particularly in areas that were previously plagued by criminal activities.

Governor Diri’s achievements and endorsement by Governor Oborevwori signal growing support for his re-election bid as the governor of Bayelsa State.
