The Commissioner of Police in Delta State, CP Wale Abass, has ordered a significant deployment of police personnel across the state to ensure adequate security before, during, and after the yuletide celebration. The directive aims to guarantee the safety of all citizens during the festive season.

In a statement, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, announced that CP Abass has instructed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to deploy their personnel strategically. The focus will be on visible policing at celebration locations, shopping centers, and other resort areas.
The police operation will also include special crime awareness and prevention efforts, targeting crimes that are common during the festive season. CP Abass emphasized the importance of public awareness and urged citizens to remain alert and conscious of their surroundings to avoid falling victim to criminals.
Additionally, the Commissioner encouraged active participation in community policing, emphasizing the role of the public in collaborating with the police to maintain a safe and secure environment. He wished all residents of Delta State a hitch-free celebration and assured them that the police were fully prepared for the festivities.
