Diezani Seeks Court Approval to Amend Asset Forfeiture Case

Former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has requested permission to modify her lawsuit challenging the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) asset forfeiture order. Her counsel confirmed that the EFCC has been notified of the amendment request.

Justice Inyang Ekwo adjourned the case to February 17, 2025, to hear Diezani’s motion to amend her filing. She claims her assets were seized without fair hearing, while the EFCC contends her claims are unfounded, citing prior court rulings on the forfeiture.
