During the Wednesday Manna Water Service at Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer, delivered a message titled “Spiritual Dunces.” He defined a dunce as someone who lacks understanding, knowledge, and fails to retain information. Dr. Olukoya explained that just as there are physical dunces, there are also spiritual dunces who lack insight into the spiritual realm.
He expressed concern about the abundance of spiritual dunces in the world and within the church. He emphasized the need for believers to be aware of the temporary nature of our earthly existence and the promise of a better future in a heavenly country. Dr. Olukoya urged attendees to cry out to God, seeking the removal of spiritual dullness from their minds and hearts. He lamented the tragedy of being unable to retain spiritual insights and experiences.
Additionally, he highlighted seven signs that indicate one may be spiritually dull.
1. You forget all your dreams—the ones God is showing you, you forget, the ones the enemy is using to attack you, you forget. Something is wrong.
2. You forget all your visions. Or you remember the unimportant ones and forget the very important ones.
3. You forget the messages you hear in church. Sometimes, even when we close the service, some people cannot even remember the topic of the message.
4. You forget about prophecies.
5. You forget the scriptures.
6. You forget your memory verses.
7. You forget your calling. It is a tragedy.
Finally, he prayed, “I pray that anyone here tonight, that the enemy has darkened your spiritual monitor so that you cannot retain anything, the Lord will have mercy on you here tonight and cause you to remember! in the name of Jesus.”
