Nigeria’s EbonyLife Cinemas has secured the cinematic rights to screen the highly anticipated Bob Marley – One Love biopic, which pays tribute to the iconic music legend. The film is scheduled to make its debut on February 14, 2024, as announced by Mo Abudu, the CEO of EbonyLife, in a post on Instagram.
In addition to the screening, Mo Abudu revealed that EbonyLife Cinemas will host a Rooftop Reggae Party on February 17, coinciding with the release of “BOB MARLEY – ONE LOVE.” This celebration aligns with the reggae-themed atmosphere of the biopic, offering audiences a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Bob Marley.

“BOB MARLEY – ONE LOVE” delves into the life of Bob Marley, tracing his Jamaican roots to becoming the world’s most renowned reggae artist. The film captures Marley’s public life, featuring electrifying performances in expansive stadiums. It also explores a pivotal chapter in Marley’s career—his self-imposed exile in England—which marked the recording of iconic albums like Exodus and Kaya. The director, Reinaldo Marcus Green, particularly emphasized the film’s focus on the creation of the Exodus album.
Produced by Marley’s son Ziggy Marley, along with his wife Rita Marley and daughter Cedella Marley, the biopic boasts a talented cast including Kingsley Ben-Adir, James Norton, Lashana Lynch, and Michael Gandolfini.
Principal photography for the Bob Marley – One Love biopic took place in London, and its debut was initially scheduled for January 2024. With the Nigerian screening at EbonyLife Cinemas, fans and reggae enthusiasts can now anticipate an immersive experience celebrating the life and legacy of the legendary Bob Marley.
