Economic Hardship: Protesters Hit The Streets Of Lagos Despite Police Warning

A group called “Take It Back Movement” protested in Lagos on Monday, expressing their frustration about the high cost of food and living in the country.

Despite a warning from Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, the protesters gathered under the Ojuelegba bridge with signs to show how tough life has become due to the expensive prices of things.

People from other groups like Joint Action Front and Coalition for Revolution also joined the protest. Police and safety officers from Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps kept an eye on the protest.

Juwon Sanyaolu, the leader of Take It Back, said the protest was a way for people to stand up against difficulties and tough times.

This protest in Lagos reflects the shared feelings of many Nigerians facing economic challenges. It’s a call for attention to the increasing prices making life harder for the people.

  1. Protest or not, Tinubu is still president and he’ll be there for the next 7 years. You people should go and sit down, you voted him in, so enjoy.
