President Bola Tinubu, in a statement released on Tuesday, called upon Muslims across the nation to pray for Nigeria, emphasizing the pivotal moment the country finds itself in. He stated that his government is actively taking essential measures to ensure the nation’s security and economic stability.
In the statement titled ‘Eid-El-Maulud: Imbibe the Virtues of Prophet Muhammad, Tinubu Urges Muslims,’ President Tinubu stressed the importance of receiving the full support of citizens in the form of patriotism, patience, and prayers.
He expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, likening it to a journey with a promising light at the end of the tunnel. President Tinubu extended warm congratulations to Muslims in Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, urging them to embrace the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
Beyond the festivities surrounding the birthday of the Holy Prophet, President Tinubu encouraged a period of introspection and sincere prayers. He emphasized the significance of adhering to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, highlighting the valuable lessons of devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility, and selflessness found in the Prophet’s life.
President Tinubu also called upon religious leaders to utilize this time to pray for the nation and advise their followers to draw appropriate lessons from Prophet Muhammad’s life, reinforcing their commitment to the country’s well-being.
