“El-Rufai’s Heart Beats to Bob Marley’s Reggae Rhythms”

Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, recently revealed that his deep appreciation for Reggae music is tied to the soulful tunes of the iconic Jamaican legend, Bob Marley.

In a Sunday morning update on his X (formerly Twitter) account, El-Rufai shared his sentiment, saying, “The memory of Bob Marley is a treasure trove of musical genius. Reggae’s rhythm resonates with me, thanks to his melodies.”

He went on to express his fondness for Marley’s track ‘Who The Cap Fit,’ marking it as one of his personal favorites. El-Rufai shared, “From the 1970s, ‘Who The Cap Fit’ by Bob Marley & The Wailers is a gem I adore. Embrace your Sunday with these timeless lyrics and music.”

Delving into the lyrics, he highlighted a verse that captures the essence of human interactions: “In a world where fairness is scarce, where trust is a puzzle. A comrade may disguise as a foe, while an ally might unveil deceit.”

El-Rufai’s journey also saw a political twist when he was nominated as one of the 48 potential ministers by President Bola Tinubu. Nevertheless, the path ahead took a different route during the Senate’s evaluation.

Following his presentation, Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West, raised a pertinent point about a petition concerning El-Rufai’s management of security issues in Southern Kaduna. Consequently, while 45 ministerial appointments were confirmed, El-Rufai, along with Senator Abubakar Danladi, the former deputy governor of Taraba State, and Stella Okotete from Delta State, found their appointments on hold due to these security concerns.

El-Rufai’s journey through both music and politics showcases a multifaceted individual, connecting his admiration for Reggae’s soothing tones with his role in shaping the political landscape.
