A 35-year-old suspected ex-convict, Eddiong Anthony Matthew, who had been parading himself as a soldier in the rank of a warrant officer by operatives of the Akwaibom police.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Timfon John, in his staement on Thursday in Uyo said that the suspect was arrested on Wednesday at about 2 pm in a half-dressed military uniform.
He further stated that investigations revealed that the suspect who comes from Mkpat-Enin Local Government Area of the state had been perpetrating a series of crimes in the state in military uniform.
