An eight months prison sentence has been issued to three valencia fans after they pleaded guilty to racism-related cases in professional football in Spain and insulting Real Madrid forward, Vinicius Junior.
The fans whose names were kept annonymous won’t be allowed to enter soccer stadiums for two years and will have to pay for all the court proceedings.
The defendants were found guilty of a crime against moral integrity with the heightened circumstance of discrimination based on racist motives.
In March, the footballer broke down in tears while talking about the racist insults he often receives in Spain, saying that he was losing his zeal to keep playing for the club.
