“Fashola Refutes Allegations, Calls for Action Against False Accusations”

Former Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola, has vehemently denied allegations of crafting a judgment for the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal concerning the 2023 presidential election outcome. Responding via a statement from his media aide, Fashola labeled the claims as baseless and defamatory.

Addressing rumors circulated on social media, Fashola dismissed the accusations as fake news and urged security agencies to take action against those responsible for spreading such falsehoods. He emphasized his absence from Abuja after leaving office and attributed the allegations to destabilization attempts.

Fashola revealed that he has initiated the process of filing formal complaints against the offensive tweets and online reports with Twitter’s management and the National Communications Commission (NCC). He noted that these allegations might be part of a broader scheme to undermine the judiciary for personal gain.

Urging the public to disregard the false claims, Fashola urged individuals to report those propagating dangerous fabrications to relevant security authorities. He emphasized that security agencies should treat the matter seriously and identify the culprits behind these accusations.
