The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to reducing food prices and tackling inflation, blaming high costs on market factors and hoarding. Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari, stated that ongoing government policies and increased food production in 2024 were already addressing the issue.
Kyari highlighted plans for continuous dry-season farming to boost food availability and stabilize prices. He also warned against hoarding, stating that measures will be rolled out in two weeks to further lower costs while ensuring farmers remain profitable.
