Di minister talk say make di country develop, dem need identify and work well well for three key areas – farming, production, and services – wey dem dey use measure di Gross Domestic Product since 1980.

The minister, wey bin give lecture wey e title “Knowledge and research as a foundation for prosperous economy,” talk say make universities of technology waka come face di challenges wey dey ground for technology for di country.

Tijani yarn say make universities dey create job through technology and e advise students make dem dey ready to put money for dia own growth.

E talk say, “With di plenty water wey we get, fish business no dey grow, we dey import fish. We no dey use knowledge and innovation; we dey expect make we fish like our ancestors bin dey do for di last years.

“Forestry dey suffer di same problem; na so we go school, no be only to get certificate, but make knowledge come out, make e waka reach places wey fit help di country.”

Before dis one, di Vice Chancellor of FUTA, Prof. Adenike Oladiji, talk say di event start since last week and na part of di program to bring di minister come as dem dey celebrate dia 33rd anniversary.

Oladiji talk say dem do di convocation to show people say di school na place wey sabi, and dem dey happy say dem fit bring di minister come Akure for di first time.
