“History Made: Mercy Becomes First Female HOH, Alex Gets Eviction Immunity, and Doyin Wins ‘Pardon Me Please'”

Big Brother Naija contestant Mercy Eke triumphed in this week’s Head of House (HOH) competition after a fierce battle for the title.

The HOH challenge involved a sand and seesaw game, where housemates competed to drop piles of sand into their opponent’s empty box.

After the initial round, six housemates progressed to the second stage: Pere, Doyin, Mercy Eke, Adekunle, Soma, and NeoEnergy. Pere’s seesaw tilted first, resulting in his elimination. Adekunle was disqualified for rule violation, while Soma’s seesaw shifted the wrong way.

Due to chaos during the second HOH game, only three contestants, Mercy Eke, Doyin, and NeoEnergy, proceeded to the third round. Mercy Eke emerged as the victor of the head of house challenge after the final round of the sand and seesaw game.

Additionally, housemate Alex Unusual secured immunity from eviction this week by discovering one of the hidden black envelopes in the lounge.

This development unfolded after both Alex and Tolanibaj found black envelopes upon the buzzer’s activation. However, Tolanibaj’s envelope contained a “better luck next time” message.

Doyin also emerged as the winner of the “Pardon Me Please” nomination. Doyin’s triumph in securing the “Pardon Me Please” nomination is uplifting news, particularly considering her close participation in the Head of House competition.

Following an intense pursuit of the HOH title and the discovery of the Black Envelope, housemates transitioned to nominating individuals for potential eviction immunity this week. While alliances formed to protect certain housemates, not all members of these alliances adhered to their prearranged strategies.

This week’s nomination process witnessed another twist, involving Adekunle and Doyin. Their interactions appear to have improved, with Adekunle nominating Doyin for the pardon, unaware that Doyin had also nominated him last week.

Doyin emerged as the frontrunner for the fourth week, obtaining seven pardon votes, which has granted her immunity from this week’s eviction. This week seems to be especially favorable for her, as she will also enjoy the benefits of the BFF privileges.

With Mercy holding the HOH title, Alex having won the Black Envelope, and Doyin securing the “Pardon Me Please” nomination, all three of them are safeguarded from the upcoming live eviction on Sunday.

The list of housemates facing potential eviction this week includes Frodd, Tolanibaj, Seyi, Ilebaye, Soma, Cee-C, Neo, Adekunle, Pere, Whitemoney, Ike, Kiddwaya, Venita, Cross, and Angel.
