Fubara attributes political success to PDP

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has attributed his present political success to divine intervention through his party.

Fubara highlighted that he was first promoted by God, who thereafter moved the hearts of the leaders and people of his political party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to agree to present him as their governorship candidate in order to win the elections.

The Governor made the comment at the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s 2024 Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally, held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Igwuruta Ali, Ikwerre Local Government Area.

In a statement issued by Senior Special Adviser to the Governor Boniface Onyedi, the Governor stated, “I was first promoted by God, then by my party and its leaders. So, promotion comes from God alone.

“Let me interpret the rally’s theme as a personal gift from RCCG because it is similar to my own journey.

“I have a thanksgiving in my place where I return this wonderful success in thanksgiving to the only person (God) who will make it permanent and forever.”

Fubara thanked the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, for his love for Rivers State.

He urged the church to continue praying for his administration to achieve its goal of governance.

“I’d want to thank this family for their support before, during, and after our elections.

“You have been very supportive of us. Your prayers kept us going. I’d like to thank you, especially for that, and to assure you that our government will continue to support this initiative in this state.

“It is crucial to note that prayers cannot suffice. So, please continue to pray for us so that the goal of governance can be attained in our state.”
