Popular Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele, has opened up about her humble beginnings, revealing that she once borrowed clothes to appear classy in movies. Currently on vacation in Ghana, she shared a video with friends, reminiscing about her early struggles in the industry.
Akindele disclosed that she used to borrow outfits from fellow actress Sikiratu Sindodo while working on film sets. She also expressed gratitude to Iyabo Ojo for helping her gain recognition and stability in Nollywood.
Despite her past struggles, Funke Akindele has risen to the top, recently making headlines as Nigeria’s highest-grossing lead actress of 2024 with her blockbuster film, Everyone Loves Jenifa.
