Funke Akindele Warns Fans Against Film Piracy

Nollywood star Funke Akindele has spoken out against piracy ahead of her new movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, set to hit cinemas on December 13. In a heartfelt social media post, she urged Nigerians to stop recording videos at cinemas, calling it a destructive act that hurts the film industry.

Funke highlighted the immense effort and resources poured into her project, stressing the negative impact piracy has on filmmakers. She also warned that strict measures, including arrests, will be enforced to protect her work from piracy during the movie’s release.

The actress passionately appealed to fans, writing, “Say no to piracy! Recording videos at cinemas is piracy and it’s killing us. Please don’t promote piracy!”
