Galatasaray, the reigning champions of Turkey, praised Victor Osimhen for his decisive goal in Nigeria’s victory over Rwanda.
The Super Eagles secured a historic 2-0 win against Rwanda on Friday in Kigali during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Osimhen played a crucial role in the victory, delivering a stellar performance and scoring twice in the first half.

His recent form has been exceptional, with eight goals in his last four consecutive matches for both club and country, extending his impressive scoring streak.
Recognizing his achievement, Galatasaray quickly took to social media to celebrate their in-form striker.

The club shared a message on X, stating: “Congratulations to our player Victor Osimhen, who scored 2 goals against Rwanda in Group C of the 2026 World Cup CAF Qualifiers, leading his country Nigeria to victory! Congratulations, @victorosimhen9.”
His two goals also marked a significant milestone in his international career, as he surpassed Segun Odegbami to become Nigeria’s second all-time top scorer with 25 goals. He now sits just behind the legendary Rashidi Yekini, who holds the record with 37 goals.

With this victory, Nigeria climbed from fifth to fourth place in Group C, keeping their World Cup qualification hopes alive.
The Super Eagles will return to action on Tuesday, March 25, when they host Zimbabwe in Uyo, and Osimhen will be eager to add to his goal tally.
