Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has hinted at reconciling with Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, for the 2023 general election.
Ganduje stated that reconciliation with Kwankwaso could occur through divine intervention.
Speaking with BBC Hausa, the APC national chairman stated that he was out to unify his Kano base so that more people would join the party.
He commented on his solid working relationship with Kwankwaso, saying, “Certainly, we share roots and lineage.” A divide occurred, and now (there is) the possibility of reconciliation through divine intervention. “What could be better?”

Ganduje and Kwankwaso have long been at odds over who controls Kano State’s political landscape.
However, there are reports that President Bola Tinubu is attempting to reconcile both politicians and bring Kwankwaso back to the APC.
Bahir Ahmad, a former media advisor to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, confirmed the accusations, saying it would be “game over” for the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, if Tinubu reconciled Ganduje and Kwankwaso.
