Aishatu Abdullahi, 58, was allegedly murdered on Friday by unidentified assailants, according to the Gombe State Commissioner of Police, CP Hayatu Usman, who has directed the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, to personally look into the case.
According to our source, the criminals allegedly broke into the late Abdullahi’s home in Jekadafari Quarters before escaping with her phone.
ASP Mahid Abubakar, the command’s public relations officer, said in a press release that after receiving the information, operatives moved to the location where the deceased Abdullahi was discovered in a pool of her own blood.
She was regrettably declared dead after being taken to the Specialist Hospital, according to Abubakar.
The police expressed their condolences to the family and promised to do all in their power to find the culprits.
The command has started a thorough inquiry to learn more about the incident’s circumstances and find out who committed the terrible murder.

Gombe police are looking into a 58-year-old woman’s slaying.
