Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State says President Tinubu made the right move by removing fuel subsidy on his first day in office. According to him, the decision helped fight corruption in the oil and gas sector and stopped the government from borrowing money to pay for fuel.
Speaking on Arise News, Governor Abdullahi said the change has brought more money to all states in Nigeria. He explained that states now get about twice or even three times more money from the federal government than before. Because of this, many states no longer need to borrow from banks.

Sule said this is why Nasarawa has been able to do more projects in the last two years without taking loans. He praised Tinubu for having the courage to also unify the foreign exchange market, which he said had been full of corruption before.
